Pip the Squirrel was created by David Mills, the owner and founder of the British Wildlife Centre in Surrey. David‘s vision has always been about inspiring a passion for British wildlife amongst children and helping them to connect with nature. Pip was born to enable this to go beyond the boundary of the centre itself, entering the child’s own world and explaining through fun and entertainment the wonders and importance of our native wildlife and hopefully creating a lifelong love of the natural world.

Finty Williams Voices of Pip and Pipsqueak

Finty Williams is a versatile and talented actress and is the voice of Pip and Pipsqueak. Finty has many notable stage and screen roles to her credit, not least among them being the original voice of Angelina Ballerina. In summer 2015, Finty did the honours and opened a new play area, Pip’s Corner at the British Wildlife Centre.

Izzy Coomber

Izzy Coomber is Pip and Pipsqueaks friend and hero, and helps to answer the many questions they have. As well as being the presenter in the Pip the Squirrel programmes, Izzy is a real animal keeper at the British Wildlife Centre and works hard to make sure that the animals there are well cared for.

Colin Froud

Colin Froud

Producer, script and song writer, cameraman and editor

Director of Divercol Productions Limited, Colin not only developed the story lines, he was also the director, high speed camera operator, wrote the scripts and song lyrics, edited the footage, authored the DVD and books.

Graham Hatherley

Graham Hatherley

Cameraman

Graham is an experienced freelance cameraman who has worked on natural history TV programmes for David Attenborough and Chris Packham. Credits include Natures Calendar, The Nature of Britain and Life in the Undergrowth. His is knowledgeable about animal behaviour and passionate about filming it.

David Mattock

David Mattock

Character Animator

David specialises in character animation. He has been responsible for bringing Pip to life and developing the title sequence and transitions. He has thoroughly enjoyed working with Pip and creating the squirrel-like body language to make Pip come alive.

Matt Binstead

Matt Binstead

Photographer and cameraman

Matt is the head keeper of the British Wildlife Centre and an award winning wildlife photographer, specialising in British wildlife. He is a great at getting the wildlife to ‘show their best sides’ for the cameras. He also films on site when the main crew are absent.

Matt writes a great blog about the animals to keep you up-to-date about what is happening at the British Wildlife Centre.

Brooks Williams

Brooks Williams

Composer and musician

Brooks Williams is an American singer/songwriter walking the line between Blues and Americana, he is ranked in the worlds Top 100 Acoustic Guitarists. Multi instrumentalist Brooks has composed the music and played all the instruments, creating an original funky sound for the Pip films.

Tom Ford

Tom Ford

Studio sound recordist

Tom owns and runs the small independent studio where he records Finty’s voice over and Brooks music to create the original soundtrack for all Pip’s films.
